Fantage Writer's Den
This section is for our great aspiring writers. This will be where you get the topic for next month's assignment and see our showcased entries.

First up, a major change, from now on, please send all contest submissions to "contest@fantage.com" instead of the old support email address. We will still take entries sent to support during the transition, sorry for any confusion.

This month, for our writing contest, we would like you to try to write a poem about Fantage! Any format works, whether it is haiku, limerick, sonnet, free verse or whatever. Don't make it too long, there is no need for epic 3000 line poem like Beowulf. When you are done, send it to "contest@fantage.com" and title the mail "Fantage Column". Be sure to include your user name! We can't wait to hear from you!

Last month we asked you to come up with a story to go behind Fantage along with some quests/missions, and we got some great responses. Here they are some of our favorite suggestions! You may see these built into Fantage one day!

Once upon a time a small group of friends were out exploring and they found a never before seen piece of land. One of the friends said "We could make a huge Caravel with lots of games for everyone to play!!".Another friend said "We should build a palace and we can all live there together!!". One of the friends said "We should keep this beautiful forest and let people play here with lots of animals!". The fourth friend suggested "We could build a city with lots of shops and a beach to go play at!!". But the fifth friend had the best idea, he said "We should do all those things and put them together!!". So that’s what they did, and after a while people started coming and making new friends with each other. And as for the five friends, that sat and watched people having fun and one of the friends said "What a Fantastic Age!!". And from then on the new world was called Fantage.

A long time ago the wonderful world of Fantage was built. No one knows where they got the bricks to build it since in Fantage right now there are no more bricks and have never been any. There have been several rumors though about the bricks coming from a secret catacomb or passage underground. Many people have tried to find this passage but no one has. That is until a very curious girl called Julia came. She heard this rumor one day so she set of to go find it. She went to every place and even searched in creature world. Finally she came to the beach and saw a bunch of monkeys. She secretly followed them and they stopped at a door then went away. She had never seen this door so she went in. She walked for a couple of minutes and all of a sudden into a huge round room. It was filled with bricks. She was delighted. Now Fantage could build more things including a modeling agency she wanted. She walked out and told everyone. They all followed her and were happy. They even made a little statue for here. You might see her downtown with an umbrella. Many people have been downtown lately maybe to see her statue.

A World beyond worlds belonging to the name of Fantage, In the universe kept in a glass dome to protect it.

Once a very populated world Fantage was attacked, and the citizens were leaving group by group and suddenly Fantage had been isolated in a glass dome and whoever was out would not be able to get back in.

The World’s Citizens that did not leave were still in the dome and decided to re build the world. The glass dome is currently over Fantage this day but Fantage is now open to anyone.

Once there was no Fantage, no solid ground, no anything. Just an empty expanse of space. There was but one small island, but over time it started growing. It soon was as big as present day Fantage. Floating in the sky. Over time one thing changed, one user was created no one knows by who. It was just there, slowly they started multiplying. Soon they built buildings and games and other fun things. This was known as Fantage.

One day not too long ago a family was ship wrecked and wandering the sea for days on cargo crates. They've been wandering the sea for three days when they stumbled upon a large glass pipe with a door. The family stepped inside the large pipe and were immediately sucked up into a dark room. They turned on the lights and walked outside onto a beautiful island! The family made the rest of their lives on the island and called it Fantage!

The next two were really well written, just one problem: They forgot their user names! Since they were so good we put them up anyway, but they can't get credit for the stories and they can't get their Writer's Medal! Remember to include your user name on anything you send us!

It was a clear, star-lit night in the forest of Fantage. Orion was walking along a short pathway, looking for as many gems that he could find hidden in bushes, buried under rocks, hiding in owl holes, and blending in with nature. As he was strolling along the dirt path, he saw a very faint twinkle in the corner of his right eye. His face burst into a delighted grin. He turned towards the light and started to skip towards it. Once he was just a hair away from it, he heard an angry growl. Orion came to a halt instantly and didn't move one bit. After a few seconds of the eerie growl, he slowly moved one foot. SNAP! The wizard had split a stick which forced his instincts to start running quickly towards his domain. The animal had lunged at him and he was fighting his way out of the animals hands, but he gave up and screamed for his life. Rex from the Creature Shop heard his scream and quickly grabbed a flashlight and darted for the forest. They searched and searched for three whole days but found no trace of Orion, Fantage's fantastic wizard.

In the world of Fantage, there are many jolly and happy people. BUT before they were happy, it was not the Fantastic Age it is now instead, it was the depressing age! Chaos everywhere, volcanoes exploding every hour and earthquakes every minute of every day! Everyone was frowning and what is the carnival now was Tartarus, where everyone would ride the Killer rollercoaster instead of the Rolla Coaster. During the depressing age, there were a few people who aren’t like the rest, while everyone walks they ride skateboard like vehicles. Nobody knows who they were what there purpose on Earth was for. I do. They discover jolliness and happiness. They discovered what it was like to laugh and smile. The joyfulness soon spread like a disease. Everyone started laughing and they named the discoverers of joyfulness Creators. Chaos no longer happened. Volcanoes calmed down and so did Mother Nature. Everything was in peace.
